Friedrich Loktor

In Short

The son of a cobbler in Ala Mhigo, later a Garlean Conscript, a knight-errant up in Ishgard, and these days a mere wanderer.From the Sword and Shield of his Conscription days, to the two-hander that came after, and finally the dual blades, different styles have been practiced over the years. He fancies himself a bit of a teacher, and is often willing to impart his own experience upon others, be it in battle arts, or any other skills that have been picked up along the way.Partakes often in the drink, and is quick to make foolish bets when a few too many have been downed. Also an avid Mahjong-player, and enjoyer of a good game of dice.

Garlean Service, Conscription, Deployment.
Having been 'persuaded', or Conscripted, from occupied territories, Friedrich served a fairly long stint in the Garlean Military. Long enough to climb up to the rank of Decurion (Low-ranking field officer), leading a small group of fellow conscripts into battle. While proper Garleans might be less aware, fellow conscripts might've heard or seen him in passing.
(Friedrich's proper title would be 'aan Loktor', not 'pyr Loktor' like other Decurions, as he was not Garlean.)Two main deployment locations consist of a short stint at Castrum Oriens, and later stationed for a longer while in Yanxia, Castrum Fluminis. Also moved several times between prisons and similar installations. Captives, Civilians, Garlean Soldiers, or fellow Conscripts that have worked in those areas may be familiar with his face or voice.

Hobbyist - Mahjong, Duelist.
From sneaking into Kugane during his deployments in the east, to returning there later in life, Friedrich is a fan of Mahjong. While not often wanting to head to the Gold Saucer to play, as he finds it 'too loud', he does enjoy sitting down at parlors or a simple table at a bar for a quick game or two when he's in and around Kugane. Fellow avid players of the game might have seen him at a table once or twice.Aside from Mahjong, he tends to hang around Dueling grounds, playing both for sport and for wagers - Anywhere from blunt weapons, to first drawn blood, so long as the opponent doesn't seem too unhinged. One might've seen him around the Bloodsands, local dueling tournaments, or similar instances.

Bodyguard, Bounty Hunter, Hireable Idiot.
Working for coin, Friedrich can easily be picked up for a sack of shinies and some information on the job. An offer of a drink helps too, provided he's approached while sitting at a bar or similar. This also extends to other services that might require a sellsword - Though even coin has it's limits for what he's willing to accept.

Sob Stories
Beyond working for coin, Friedrich can easily be persuaded by some puppydog eyes and a sad story. While he would much prefer some coins, he can't turn his back on someone that genuinely needs his help with something - Though he'll complain the entire time that he isn't being paid for it.

Knight Errant
Before taking his current path in life, Friedrich spent a long time after his stint in the Garlean Infantry training, in Ishgard, alongside a small group of would-be knights. While his usage of dark magicks is imperfect at times, Dark Knights or users of Abyss-aspected Aether might be able to tell.

Field Alchemist and Medicus
While not professionally trained, Friedrich has experience in basic fieldcare. Bandages, sutures, and woundcare. Outside of this, he is an avid alchemist, making his own potions and poisons, with a decent eye for herbs out in the wild. Basic Abyss-aspected spells are known for healing certain wounds, though these are not usually pleasant.
